Product Overview

Wafer-Type Valves with an Integrally Moulded Sleeve

FLOEC wafer-type butterfly valves are designed with an integrally moulded elastomer body sleeve, especially for longer durability and easy performance. The moulded sleeve ensures minimum resistance between the disc and the sleeve.

They are designed and manufactured as per BS 5155, API 609 and AWWA C504, and are appropriate to mount between flanges of ASME B16.5 (150#) or BS-10 Table D/E. Pneumatic and electrical actuated valves can be customized, with a top platform suited to mount an actuator or manual gearbox directly.

End connectionsWafer / Lugged / Flanged
Disc geometryCenter disc, single / double / triple offset
Body constructionFully lined body / unlined body

Unique Features

Engineering Details That Define FLOEC Butterfly Valves

01

Seat retention

Integrally moulded elastomer liner prevents the dislocation of the seat, which enhances durability.

02

Body, disc and stem sealing

An ideal seal between body, disc and stem is created by a flat surface on the disc and the liner at the top and bottom.

03

Media isolation from body

The elastomer body liner extends deep through the disc shaft passages with an integral O-ring, so the working media never contacts the body material.

04

Primary stem seal

A primary seal at the top of the body keeps foreign particles out, extending stem life and keeping operation smooth.

05

Minimised pressure drop

The disc design keeps flow smooth and straight, minimizing pressure drop across the valve.

06

Low operating torque

Close tolerances between liner, disc and stem minimize operating torque for smooth, easy operation.

07

Integral mounting gasket

The moulded liner holds an integral gasket at both ends of the valve, so no separate mounting gaskets are needed.

08

Design standards

Designed and manufactured as per BS 5155, API 609 and AWWA C504.

09

Flange mounting

Appropriate to mount between flanges of ASME B16.5 (150#) or BS-10 Table D/E.

10

Actuated options

Pneumatic and electrically actuated valves can be customized to project requirements.

11

Direct actuator platform

A top platform on the valve is suited to mount an actuator or manual gearbox directly.

12

Flow control lever

A flow control lever allows excellent, repeatable control of the flow.
